Uniontown teen waives charges for alleged home invasion

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

A Uniontown teen charged for participating in an armed home invasion waived all charges against him to court this afternoon. Uniontown police Officer Jamie Holland said Tommy T. Stargell, 16, is accused of breaking into an occupied home June 21 to steal drugs and money along with Brandon Epps, 18, of Uniontown.

He and Epps were charged before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to commit theft and Epps was additionally charged with carrying a firearm without a license and recklessly endangering another person.

Holland said Stargell waived all charges against him to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing today before Metros.

Holland said the incident occurred when officers were called to 15 Dunkard Ave. shortly before 3 a.m. for a reported break-in.
