California man charged with driving under the influence
CALIFORNIA – A California man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly caused damage to several properties while driving drunk in California on July 1. California police said Daniel Wadsworth, 22, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, reckless driving, driving while suspended, damaging unattended property and stop sign violations. Police said the incident occurred shortly after midnight when officers spotted Wadsworth driving on Union Street with two flat tires on the passenger side.
Police said that Wadsworth struggled to get his vehicle stopped for police, nearly striking another vehicle and leading officers on a brief pursuit.
Once stopped, police said they discovered Wadsworth was intoxicated and also discovered extensive damage to his vehicle.
Police said they were able to track the route Wadsworth had traveled and found that for more than a quarter mile he had traveled off of Highpoint Drive, driving his sedan through several properties and damaging multiple items including parked vehicles and a mailbox.
