Calvin George Thomas
0005907536-01-1.jpg Calvin George Thomas, age 61, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully and suddenly on Tuesday evening, July 20, 2010 in his home. He was born April 4, 1949, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late Claude Harold Thomas and Genevieve Mae (Spangler) Thomas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving sister, Brenda Thomas.
He was a graduate of the former North Union High School and a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. Calvin was the owner of Calvin G. Thomas Maintenance. He loved hunting and cars. The true love of his life was his family, especially his grandchildren whom he cherished.
Calvin is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia Ann Sepic Thomas; loving and devoted children: son, Gregory Alan Thomas and wife Christin of Uniontown and daughter, Michele Ann Sherbondy and husband Todd of Uniontown; he was affectionately known as “Pappy” to his grandchildren: Lucas, Brandon and Elizabeth Thomas and Paige Marie and Morgan Ann Sherbondy; his brother, John Oliver Thomas and wife Clara of Markleys-burg, Pa; several loving nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Marlene Pensock; brothers-in-law: Melvyn Sepic and wife Diana and Dr. Ronald Sepic and wife Susan; other relatives and many friends.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today (Friday) from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday morning, July 24, 2010 until 10 a.m., the hour of Service with Reverend David McElory officiating.
Interment follows in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
