Lipchinsky Hatalla, 88, a lifelong resident of Nemacolin, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly at 6 a.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 in the Rolling Meadows N u r s i n g C e n t e r, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Marie was b o r n o n December 8, 1921 in Hiller, Fayette County, Pennsylvania beloved daughter of Michael and Mary (Regula) Lipchinsky

Mrs. Hatalla was a 1939 graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania.

She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Nemacolin were she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and also The Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Until a few weeks ago, Mrs. Hatalla volunteered her time at the Church.

She enjoyed cooking and greatly cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On June 15, 1940, Marie married Joseph M. Hatalla. He died August 12, 1988.

Surviving are a son, Joseph M. Hatalla and his wife Gloria of Orrville, Ohio; daughters: Josephine Hatalla and Marian Taylor and her husband David, all Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Steven Hatalla of Sacramento, California, John Hatalla and wife Tammy of Magnolia, Ohio, Andrea Lamatrice and her husband Joseph of Pittsburgh and Kaytea Takacs of Pittsburgh; three great grandchildren: Zoe Rae, Giulia Marie and Jenna Marie; one brother, Joseph Lipchinsky of Harbor Springs, Michigan; one sister, Edith Caliguiri of Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her parents; brothers, Bernard Lipchinsky and Walter Lipchinsky; three sisters, Sophie Payson, Stella Borytsky and Betty Hoist; and a son-in-law, Carl Takacs.

Family and friends will be welcomed from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels Pennsylvania where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 9:15 a.m..

A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Nemacolin, with the Rev. Father John M. Bauer as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Hopwood, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that m e m o r i a l contributions be made to her Church, O u r L a d y o f Consolation Catholic Church, P o s t O f f i c e B o x 206, Nemacolin, PA 15351.

Vigil Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
