By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

A Smithfield man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl that had been reported missing by her family last month will stand trial. Trooper Heather L. Clem said Larry Hoskins Carr Jr., 40, of 122 Main St. was charged in June before Magisterial District Judge Wendy D. Dennis with two counts each of rape, statutory sexual assault and indecent assault and a single count of false imprisonment.

Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham bound all charges against Carr for Fayette County Court following a hearing Thursday.

Clem said the girl had been reported missing by her mother to Uniontown police at 9:30 p.m. June 6.
