By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

BELLE VERNON – Two teenagers are facing multiple citations for allegedly breaking into more than 10 vehicles in the Belle Vernon area Thursday. Southwest Regional police Chief John D. Hartman said the citations were filed against the boys – one from Belle Vernon and one from Rostraver Township – after they admitted to breaking into between 10 and 15 vehicles parked in Belle Vernon between 2 and 3 a.m.

Hartman said that officers were able to recover about $1,500 worth of stolen items from two of the cars that were burglarized.

He said officers seized other items from the boys which they admitted were stolen, but Hartman said that police have not identified the proper owners.

Any area residents that discover missing items from their vehicles are asked to call police at 724-929-8484.
