Gary Allen Rush
0005910931-01-1.jpg Gary Allen Rush, 62 of Canyon Rd, Morgantown, WV passed away Tuesday July 27, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 29, 1947 in Fairmont, WV son of the late Allen Lindsey Rush and Naomi Haught Rush.
Gary retired as a Master Electrician with the Inter-national Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, (IBEW) Local No. 596. Gary was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the West Virginia Grand Lodge AF and AM Morgantown Union Lodge No. 4 and Scottish Rite of Free-masonry, SJ, USA. Gary was involved in various Harley Davidson groups, as well as classic car clubs and organizations.
He was an avid Mountaineer fan and loved to go camping with his family where he especially enjoyed grilling. Gary didn’t do anything half-heartedly. Everyday of this life had a purpose. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandsons. He was Methodist by faith.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Connie Whipkey Rush; daughter Wendi Lynn Siko and husband Jason; grandsons, Barrett Allen and Wyatt James Siko, all of Canyon Rd., Morgantown; sister Susan Levelle and husband Robin Levelle, II of Morgantown; brother Greg Rush and wife Samantha of Waynesburg, PA; mother-in-law, Betty Whipkey and companion Ed Stockett of Canyon Rd., Morgantown; sisters-in-law, Carolyn and spouse William C. McBee of Canyon Rd. and Mary Margaret and Charles D. Vincent of Shinnston, WV; nieces and nephews, Riff Hennen and wife Theresa of Wana, WV, Sarif Arnold and husband Darin of Morgantown, Ashley and Taylor Rush of Waynesburg, PA, William C. McBee, II and wife Jenn of Morgantown and Carrie Cooke and husband Trey Cooke, III of Lexington, KY. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law Wendell A. Whipkey.
Friends may call at the FRED L. JENKINS FUNERAL HOME on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11a.m. with Pastor Richard Work officiating.
Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
