Annual bazaar set for Aug. 8 in Leckrone

St. Mary Church, Leckrone-High House Road, Leckrone, will hold its annual bazaar Aug. 8 beginning with a polka Mass at 10 a.m. followed by festivities from noon to 10 p.m. The activities throughout the day will feature games, bingo, music, as well as various foods including perogies, holupki, haluski, breaded chicken, sandwiches, funnel cakes, ice cream sundaes, apple dumplings and fudge brownies. The church is located two miles off of Route 21 east of Masontown. Turn off Route 21 at the Detweiler/Sweet Pea intersection at the stoplight. Planning the event are (from left) Ann Valusek, the Rev. John Butler, pastor; Vicki Zvolenski, Gene Zvolenski, Jane Pramuk, Jonathan Pleban and Bill Raho.
