Mitch’s Bail Bonds “walks off” with 3-2 victory over Mill Run A.J. Kerr walked in the bottom of the eighth inning to drive in Mick Betler, giving Mitch’s Bail Bonds a 3-2 win Thursday, and a 1-0 lead in the Fayette County Baseball League playoffs.

Ben Carson earned the win, fanning 12 batters and walking two in a complete game. Betler helped power the offense with a double, as Ryan Cabana had two shits, including an RBI single in the first inning.

Isiah Bell drove in the other run for Mitch’s in the sixth inning to tie the game.

Bobby Fulton took the loss for Mill Run, whiffing 11 batters and walking seven, also in a complete game.

Andrew Brooks and Chris Firestone hit RBI singles in the first for a 2-0 Mill Run lead. Brooks later added a double. Dave Sumner and Jim Warrick also doubled for Mill Run.

The series resumes today at Mill Run at 5:45 p.m.
