Frederick Vallango
Frederick Vallango, 87, of Bakersville, Somerset County, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the G o l d e n Livingcenter, Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Born on October 29, 2010 in R e v e r e, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Frederick was the son of James Vallango and Josephine Scalise Vallango.
“Fred” was a member of the Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Bakersville, Pennsylvania.
He was a veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army.
“Fred” was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Veronica Muraco; a brother, Lawrence Vallango; and his special friend, Ruth Baker, who passed away in March of 2010.
He is survived by these sisters and brothers: Elizabeth Gatts of Anchorage, Alaska, Joseph Vallango of Royal, Pennsylvania, Mary Pucci of Charleroi, Pennsylvania, Loretta Swartek of Trenton, New Jersey, Yolanda Billy and her husband Steve of Santa Clarita, California, Anthony Vallango and his wife Marion of F o x L a k e, I l l i n o i s, Genevieve Dascola and her husband Frank of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, S a m u e l Vallango and his wife Patty of Levittown, Pennsylvania and James Vallango Jr. of Morgantown, West Virginia; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pennsylvania today (Tuesday, June 1, 2010) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in the P L E A S A N T V I E W PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, S m o c k, Pennsylvania from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with his Pastor, the Rev. Elisa Osman, officiating.
Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
