Marion Schafer Brand
Marion Schafer Brand, 85, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania died Friday, May 28, 2010 in The Marquis House. Born on October 2, 1924 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the now late William J. Schafer and Josephine Skolka Schafer.
M a r i o n graduated from Uniontown High School Class of 1942 and also graduated from Northwestern University with a degree i n E n g l i s h Literature.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Marion was a Fashion Model in New York City for many years and had also worked in other capacities in the fashion industry.
She is survived by one nephew, William Eric Schafer, of Bridgeport, West Virginia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where friends will be received today (Tuesday, June 1) from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 2, from Noon until 1:30 p.m. at which time a Service celebrating her life will be held with the Rev. Dr. R u t h A n n Compagna officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
