Local residents accept plea deal in bad check scheme

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

Two Fayette County residents accepted tentative plea deals that include a term of probation as well as restitution after Uniontown police charged them with writing a string of bad checks last month. Officer Chuck David said he filed multiple counts of passing bad checks against Todd David Kelly, 31, of Uniontown and Joyce Lynn Mackey, 30, of Connellsville before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros.

The charges were filed after Kelly allegedly made two purchases, the first at Tri-County Tire for more than $300 and the second for more than $100 at Woodland World, also in Uniontown.
