Cause of death still pending tests for Uniontown woman

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

Officials from the Fayette County Coroner’s office said it will be several weeks before they can officially determine what caused the death of an elderly Uniontown woman who died following a car crash in Uniontown Wednesday. However, Deputy Coroner Jessie Langer said that Georgette Duffield, 75, did not have any signs of trauma from the crash itself and likely suffered some type of medical event that caused the accident.

Langer said that the coroner’s office will wait for toxicology test results and other information before making a determination regarding the cause and manner of death.
