Camera shows man following slain woman

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Police say a surveillance camera captured an image of a man apparently following a Philadelphia woman shortly before she was killed last week, but they do not know whether he is connected to the crime. The body of 20-year-old Sabina Rose O’Donnell was found Wednesday morning behind her Northern Liberties apartment building north of the city center. Police say she was apparently waylaid outside her building, dragged into an alley and then beaten, assaulted and strangled.

Police say the security camera shows O’Donnell biking along the street, and a man on a bike heading in the opposite direction passes her and then doubles back.

A $25,000 reward has been posted for information leading to arrest and conviction in the case.
