Fike, Reiger in 6th place at national tournament
Several teams of local walleye anglers from the Yough Walleye Association are competing in the Cabela’s National Team Championship this weekend on Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh, Wis. A total of 362 teams are competing for NTC and Masters Walleye Circuit honors.
Saturday, after the first of two days, the local team of Rich Fike of Farmington and his partner Ryan Reiger of Elizabeth are in sixth place in the Cabela’s event and fourth in the Masters with a limit of five walleye weighing 14.21 pounds.
Fike is no stranger to the event, as he and his brother, Mark, won the National Team event in 2006.
Bob Fisher of Uniontown and Joe Daveler of Dunbar are in 28th place with four walleye, weighing 9.72 pounds.

A good catch today could propel any of these teams to the top, where the current leaders have a 19.65-pound bag.
The possibility of thunderstorms is forecast for today.
The top prize for first place on the NTC side is a fully rigged Ranger 619 powered by an Evinrude 225 ETEC. The highest finishing Ranger Cup qualified team will also receive a fully rigged Ranger 619 powered by Evinrude.
