PennDOT announces weekly work schedule
Chris Sleighter, Fayette County manager with the state Department of Transportation, has announced the following tentative work plans for the week beginning Monday. The schedule is as follows:
n Patching is scheduled on state Route 3019 (Morgantown Street), state Route 119 from Uniontown to Connellsville and state Route 381 from Ohiopyle to Farmington.
n The bridge crew will be doing structure repairs on state Route 819 in the Dawson area.
n The bridge flushing crew will be cleaning bridges in the Smithfield area.
n Tree trimming is scheduled on various state routes in the Connellsville area.
n Seal coating is scheduled on state Route 2005 in the Gibbon Glade area.
n Cleaning ditches is scheduled on state Route 1058 (County Line Road).
n Shoulder cutting is scheduled on state Route 4028 (Grindstone Road) and state Route 4036 (Central School Road).
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the county.
All maintenance activities are conducted as the weather permits. PennDOT said motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.
PennDOT has a 24-hour toll-free number for residents to call to ‘report any road maintenance concern.
The number also can be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways. The number is I-800-FIX ROAD (1-800-349-7623).
