Students rewarded for positive behavior
As part of the anti-bullying program at Lafayette School, coordinators have implemented a positive behavior support plan in which a different character trait is highlighted. Nine students who set examples of those traits throughout the academic year were honored during an assembly held at the school Friday. Each student received a certificate and a Walmart gift card and a sports ball donated by the Pennsylvania State Police.
The honored students are:
n September – Candice Thorpe, seventh grade, “Perseverance.”
n October – Jaira Wells, sixth grade, “Respectful.”
n November – Dylan Cooley, eighth grade, “Patience.”
n December – Austin Wivell, eighth grade, “Hope.”
n January – Samantha Wiltrout, seventh grade, “Cooperative.”
n February – Miranda Lynn, seventh grade, “Compassionate.”
n March – Jordan Pratt, eighth grade, “Self-Discipline.”
n April – Kean Calloway, seventh grade, “Resourceful.”
n May – Anthony Harper, eighth grade, “Forgiveness.”
Seventh-grader De’Loleik Wells was honored for displaying all of the character traits. She received a bicycle and helmet and a sports ball, all donated from the state police. She also received a certificate and a Walmart gift card.
