Walter T. “Bit” Miller
0005879361-01-1.jpg Walter T. “Bit” Miller, age 81 of Connellsville, Pennsylvania died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at his home. B o r n o n January 7, 1929 in Connellsville Pennsyl-vania he was the son of Andrew Miller and Rose Adams Miller.
Prior to his retirement, “Bit” worked for Duraloy in Scottdale, Pennsylvania.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a Lifetime Member of The Slovak Club where he enjoyed spending his Friday and Saturday greeting all the Slovak Club members.
He was also a member of the Connellsville Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 21, the American Legion Post 301, and the former Saint Vincent De Paul Roman Catholic Church in Leisenring, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Madonna Leighty, Marcella Carbonara; and brothers, Emory Miller, Vince Miller, Herbert Miller, Andrew Miller, Martin Miller, Robert Miller, Francis Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Brooks) Miller; a son, Randy Miller and wife Vicky; daughter, Cherylan Swink and husband Charlie; grandsons: Ian Miller and C.J. Swink; his buddy Shiloh; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N o r t h Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pennsylvania, Dennis Heath Jr., Supervisor, where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. by Monsignor J. Edward McCullough.
Interment will follow in Saint John T h e Evangelist Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville. Full Military Rites will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 21 and American Legion Posts 301 and 762.
