Anna Marie (Wise) Wilson

0005881160-01-1.jpg Anna Marie (Wise) Wilson, age 90 years, a lifelong resident of Smithfield, Pa., passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Point Manor North N. H. in Uniontown, Pa. She was born at Smithfield, Pa. on February 16, 1920, a daughter of the now late Charles Wise and Mabel Burchinal Wise.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dale Wilson in 1997 and two brothers, Darwin Wise and James Wise.

She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where she held several offices and was a member of the Church Choir. She belonged to the John C. Myers Sunday School Class. She was a retired Salesperson for the former Metzler’s Department Store in Uniontown, was a member of the former Rebecca Lodge in Smithfield and belonged to the Blue Bird Card Club.

Anna Marie was an avid reader, loved working crossword puzzles, knitting and enjoyed hosting family get togethers.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Frith and her husband Jack of Smithfield, Pa.; and one son, Rodney Dale Wilson and wife Chantee of Chester, Va.; five grandchildren: Joel Frith of Smithfield, Pa., Julianne Gaster and husband Shawn of Fairchance, Pa., Amy Schaeffer and husband Mark of Baumholder, Germany, Elizabeth Woodle and husband Paul of Richmond, Va. and Richard Wilson of Chester, Va.; four great grandchildren: Mackenzie Loving of Hume, Va., Anna Grace Schaeffer and Matthew Schaeffer both of Germany and Ethan Woodle of Richmond, Va.; sister, Wanda Jean Yagel, Tupelo Miss. and one sister-in-law, Ruth Wise, Smithfield, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME, in Smithfield, Pa. today, June 9, 2010 until 11 A.M. when services will be conducted with Rev. Donald Walls officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.

The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to the staff of Point Manor North and Celtic Hospice for their care and compassion of Anna Marie during the past several months.
