Mary Elizabeth Sarver
Mary Elizabeth Sarver, 90 of Perry, Ohio and formerly of Farmington, Pa. went to be with her Lord on Angels’ wings Wednesday, June 9, 2010. She was born March 29, 1920 at Sugar Loaf, Pa., daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Fleegle) Lytle.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the the love of her life, the late Victor Sarver whom she married March 14, 1937, her daughter Marjorie Detrick, infant daughter Sheila Joyce Sarver, two brothers Herb and Ed Lytle, four sisters and spouses: Lucy Parnell (Donald), Lydia May Morrison (Homer), Ruth Churby(Harry) and Dolorean David (John) and two brothers-in-law Bob Baughman and Bill Swaney.
Surviving are her daughter with whom she made her home Patricia Cantrell of Perry Ohio; two sisters: Kate Baughman and Della Swaney, both of Ohio; daughters-in-law Nellie Sarver and Rose Miller of Pa.; eight grandchildren: Sue Morrison and husband Doug, Tina Rodehaver and husband Chub, Donnie Sarver Jr. and wife Kelly, Vicky Van Meter, Eddie Detrick and wife Lori, Tod Detrick and wife Ann, Marden Pomplas and husband Danny, all of Pa. and Valery Veverka and husband Chris of Ohio; step-grandchildren: Sue Morris and husband Randy, Gary Cantrell and Josey, Terry Cantrell and wife Franny, Roger Cantrell and wife Sue, Steve Cantrell and wife Diane and Jerry Cantrell and wife Anna; 21 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; 22 step great grandchildren and 21 step great great grand-children.
Mary was a member of Laurel Mt. Baptist Church at Gibbon Glade before moving to her daughter’s home in Ohio. She accepted the Lord at age 17 and had a very strong religious faith. She was a nurse for 30 years and retired at age 72.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME FARMINGTON, Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of the service with Pastor Clifford Sarver officiating. Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery.
