Fayette roads to be resurfaced

Affected routes announced Various roads in Fayette County will be resurfaced this summer.

With that in mind, the state Department of Transportation District 12 is reminding motorists to be aware of the routes that the following projects will be occurring:

n Route 51 between Route 4028 (Tippecanoe-Town Country Road) in Franklin Township to just south of Route 4016 (Smock Road) in Franklin Township.

Tentatively, the work will start during daylight hours Monday.

The daylight work will prompt single-lane traffic.

n Route 21 at the Masontown Bridge between Masontown Borough in Fayette County and Monongahela Township in Greene County.

Tentatively, the work will be done between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

The nighttime work will have single-lane restrictions with alternating traffic controlled by flaggers.

n Route 40 in Wharton Township between Nelson Road and Half King Colony Road. Date to be announced.

n Route 819 between Hulltown Road in Dawson, Lower Tyrone Township and Route 201 in Vanderbilt, Dunbar Township. Date to be announced.

n Route 857 in Georges Township between Route 3029 (Big Sixx Road) and just north of Mill Road. Date to be announced.

n Route 381 in Wharton Township, just north of Kreeps Road. Date to be announced.
