While most people focus their Memorial Day weekends around barbecues and swimming pools, the terrain park crew at Mount Snow is working hard to change the yearly routine of its freestyle guests.

Over 300 skiers and riders took to snow on Saturday, May 29 for the Third Annual Peace Pipe Jam.

The events featured eight freestyle features, including two jumps, at the base of Carinthia -Mount Snow’s all mountain-face terrain park.

Between skiers, riders, skateboarders and those just taking in the atmosphere, there were nearly 500 people present.

The Peace Pipe Jam is a free event at the bottom of the Inferno terrain park.

A massive pile of snow was amassed at the end of the season and was flattened out two days prior to the event and shaped into its final form.

Event day also featured live music, a barbecue, free food samplings, retail sales and product giveaways.
