Robert H. Jobes
0005883830-01-1.jpg Robert H. Jobes, age 83, of Smithfield, Pennsylvania and formerly of Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania died Friday June 11, 2010 in Generations Elder Care. Robert was born October 7, 1926 i n Uniontown, Pennsyl-vania.
Mr. Jobes w a s a veteran of World War II who served in the United States Navy.
He was a former steelworker retired from the Irving Works.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Elmer Ray Jobes and Margaret Lowry Jobes; two daughters, Diane Jobes and Nancy Jobes; a grandson, Robert Bailey; and brothers, Donald Jobes, William Jobes and Ed Jobes.
Surviving are a daughter, Robin Bailey of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; a son, Barry Radolec of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren: Diana Miller, Dallas Bailey, Barry Radolec, Robert Radolec, Crystal Radolec and Nancy Radolec, eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Jean Zebley and Shirley Collins and husband Paul all of U n i o n t o w n, Pennsylvania; a special sister-in-law, Sara Jobes, who cared for him for many years; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews who referred to him as their other “Pappy”.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount V e r n o n A v e n u e, Uniontown, Pennsylvania today from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor James Jobes officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
