Thomas J. Zimmerlink Sr., age 86 of Allison, Pennsylvania died Saturday, June 12, 2010. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict and received the following decorations and citations: American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

He retired as an Air Force Reservist.

Thomas retired as the Post Master of Allison.

He played in the Big Ten and also the Fayette County Baseball leagues.

He was a Member of the American Legion in Republic, The Knights of Columbus, The Catholic War Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Zimmerlink; three Children: Tom Zimmerlink Jr. and wife Angela, Allison, Joe Zimmerlink, McClellandtown, Pennsylvania and Teresa Berenbrok and husband Kevin, Uniontown, Pennsylvania; two Granddaughters: A m a n d a Berenbrok, Laura Berenbrok; Sisters and Brother: Ann Wilson, Brownsville, Pennsylvania, Gene Zimmerlink and wife Sally of Milltown, New Jersey and Margaret Smith and husband Francis of Lake Orion, Michigan.

He was predeceased by his Parents; and Brothers, Joseph “Jess” Zimmerlink and Edward Zimmerlink.

Friends will be received in SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pennsylvania today from 6 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 12:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. in The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Saint Nicholas Cemetery.

The family requests no floral arrangements.
