By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

PITTSBURGH (AP) – The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and three other draft picks, giving them six picks under contract. Sanders, a third-round pick from SMU, signed along with linebacker Stevenson Sylvester, a fifth-round selection from Utah; and sixth-round picks Jonathan Dwyer, a running back from Georgia Tech, and Antonio Brown, a former Central Michigan wide receiver.

Former Ohio State teammates Thaddeus Gibson, a linebacker, and Doug Worthington, a defensive tackle, signed last week.

To create roster room, the Steelers cut seven free agents: wide receiver Jason Chery, kicker Piotr Czech, linebacker Derrick Doggett, punter Adam Graessle of Pitt, nose tackle Cordarrow Thompson, center Brad Vierling and cornerback Trae Williams.
