Virginia “Virg” Digon Fowler Janosek
Virginia “Virg” Digon Fowler Janosek, 65 of McClelland-town, Pa. went to be with the Lord Tuesday June 15, 2010. She was born August 1, 1944.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John Digon and Ann Sabo Digon, a daughter LuAnne Till, a brother Mike Digon and a sister Barbara Bruce.
Virginia was a member of St. Therese R.C. Church and member and President of the Womens’ Democratic Club of Uniontown and Vicinity and spent many years serving the Girl Scouts of South Western PA. She was an adoring wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother and loyal friend.
“Virg” spent 45 years taking care of the sick at Brownsville Hospital. She was a visiting nurse and worked at Adagio Health, formerly known as Family Health Council.
Surviving are her loving husband, Terry Janosek, a daughter, Dara Volosin and husband Dr. Daniel Volosin of Brownsville, Pa.; five grandchildren: Jake, Shelby Anne, Ashley Rose and Dani Rae Volosin all of Brownsville and Bailey Dare Till of Montgomery, Ala.; two sisters, Maryann Sawka of Oliver, Pa. and Debbie Digon and husband Gary of Daisytown, Pa., a brother Tom Digon and wife Susan of Loveland, Ohio; a special nephew, Charles Bondarenka and wife Susan and his sons Chaz and Case all of Uniontown, niece Leia Sims and nephew and Godson Luke Lenkey both of Richeyville, Pa., nieces Shannon Galeazzo of Ohio and Brette Digon of San Francisco, Calif.; Goddaughter Robin Hammer of Houston, Texas; special friends, Cheryl Cline of Aurora, W.Va. and Lynn White of Uniontown and many other nieces and nephews, John Digon and family, Lisa Cogis and Family, Jamie Bruce and brother-in-law George Bruce of Greensboro, N.C.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown, Pa. today from 2 to 8 p.m.. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. by Monsignor Michael W. Matusak.
Interment will be held at a later date and will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Fayette Friends of Animals P.O. Box 1282 Uniontown, PA 15401
