Greene church sponsors conferences

By Herald Standard Staff 2 min read

Two nationally recognized courses, “Love and Respect” marriage conference and “Shepherding a Child’s Heart” parenting conference, will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday at Waynesburg Elementary, sponsored by Greene Community Church. The marriage conference, based on Dr. Emerson Eggerich’s best-selling book “Love and Respect,” will be taught by Dave and Leah Bell of Waynesburg. According to promotional materials, “Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding the fact that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her.”

“Using Dr. Eggerich’s sound instruction, our hope is to teach couples to begin enjoying marriage the way God intended,” said the Rev. David Crowe, pastor of Greene Community Church.

Within “Shepherding a Child’s Heart,” based on Tedd Tripp’s best-selling parenting resource, parents will learn the vital importance of reaching a child’s heart instead of merely changing external behavior. Mike and Cari Baily will teach the course. “Both conferences are excellent and we’re certain that marriages and families will be strengthened by the biblical instruction taught,” said Crowe.

There is a fee for materials. Childcare and children activities will be provided. To register, complete the online form at 222.greenecommnitychurch.org or call 724-852-3138.
