PennDOT announces week’s work schedule
Chris Sleighter, Fayette County manager with the state Department of Transportation, has announced the following tentative work plans for the week beginning Monday. The schedule is as follows:
n Patching is scheduled on state Route 119 from Sycamore to Point Marion, state Route 40 from Chalk Hill to Farmington and state Route 3019 (Morgantown Street).
n The bridge crew will be doing structure repairs on state Route 819 in the Dawson area.
n The bridge flushing crew will be cleaning bridges in the Smithfield area.
n Seal coat is scheduled on state Route 1055 (Dunbar-Ohiopyle Road), state Route 4009 (Pleasant View Road), state Route 400 (Dearth Road) and state Route 3004 (Whymps Gap Road).
n Shoulder cutting is scheduled on state Route 4036 (Central School Road).
n Base repair is scheduled on state Route 1009 in the White area.
n Pipe replacement is scheduled on state Route 166 in the Point Marion area.
nSigns will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the county.
All maintenance activities are conducted as the weather permits. PennDOT said motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas.
