Carrol Faye Johnson
Carrol Faye Johnson, 81 longtime resident of Denbo, Pa died Wednesday June 23, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born April 5, 1929 in Clairton, Pa. a daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred Lewis McGee.
Ms. Johnson was a 1947 graduate of Centerville High School and had been employed by the Pittsburgh Mercantile Co. in Vestaburg and Vesta #6 as a retail clerk for over 20 years and was a life long member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church of Denbo. She had also been a member of the former J.G. Class of the St. Paul U.M. Church.
Some of her enjoyments include crocheting, knitting, playing cards, bingo at the Denbo/Vesta #6 Firehall and nature.
She is survived by a sister, Ruth Brandtonies and her husband Hank of Vestaburg, her caregivers and close friends, Juanita and Cheryl Zalek both of Vesta #6 and nine nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents are four sisters, Anna Wright Hileman, Mary Rankin, Elizabeth Baer, and Mildred Presock.
Friends will be received Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 10 a.m. until Noon the hour of services in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main St. Beallsville with Pastor Brian Carroll officiating.
Interment will be in Westland Cemetery, Centerville Boro.
