Raymond H. Hetrick, age 81, of Grindstone, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, June 25, 2010. He was born June 20, 1929 in Slatyfork, West Virginia the Son of Richard Hetrick and Mary (Jackson) Hetrick.

Raymond was a former member of the First Christian Church in Brownsville, Pa.

He was employed by the AMTRAK Railroad Company as a Brakeman for many years until his retirement.

He was a veteran of World War II who served with the United States Navy.

Raymond was a member of General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, Pennsylvania, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and the American Legion Post 295, Brownsville, Pennsylvania.

Raymond was preceded in death by his Parents; his Wife, Margaret A. Hetrick; a Son, Ronald Hetrick; brothers: Jake Hetrick, Robert Hetrick and Myron Hetrick.

He is survived by his four Children: Raymond Hetrick, Richard Hetrick, Robert Hetrick and Sharon Hetrick; and by several Grandchildren. Raymond is also survived by his companion and good friend of many years, Rhoda Hodges, California, Pennsylvania; by Close Friends: Reed Rhoads and wife Mary Alice and their daughter Samantha all of California, Pennsylvania; his beloved Dog, Autumn Rae.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pennsylvania on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 29, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. when a Funeral Service will be held with the Rev. Dr. Steven Mentzer officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, where Full Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Posts 295, 940 and 838.
