DUNBAR TWP. – A Vanderbilt man and two Leisenring residents are facing charges after they engaged in a fight resulting in an injury to a 1-year-old girl. State police Trooper Christopher T. Cole said John Edward Hall, 38, of 366 Bolden Road, Vanderbilt, Wilbert Donald Burnsworth, 32, of 63 Church St., Leisenring and Crystal Renee Maust, 20, also of 63 Church St., Leisenring, were each charged for their role in the altercation that caused the baby to be injured.

Cole said that Hall, Burnsworth and Maust were arguing at Burnsworth and Maust’s home around 10:45 p.m. Friday.

Cole said that during the argument, Hall pushed Burnsworth to the ground while Burnsworth was holding the child, causing an injury to the right side of her face.

Cole said that the girl was removed from the fight and that the men continued to scuffle.

During the altercation, Cole said that Maust struck Hall several times in the head.

Hall was charged with recklessly endangering another person, two counts of simple assault and two counts of harassment, Cole said.

Burnsworth was charged with recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment.

Maust was charged with a single summary harassment charge, Cole noted.

All charges were filed before Magisterial District Judge Dwight K. Shaner Monday.

Preliminary hearings will be scheduled at a later date.
