Uniontown woman charged with stabbing woman in the neck

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

Uniontown police said they captured a Uniontown woman accused of stabbing another woman in the neck during an altercation early today. Officer Matthew Painter said Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros issued a warrant for the arrest of Andrea Mae Cobb, 29, of 628 Washington Ave. on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct following the fight shortly after midnight in Uniontown.

Less than 10 hours later, Uniontown police Officer David J. Rutter said he found Cobb trying to remove her car from the impound lot at Joby’s Gulf Station Beeson Avenue and took her into custody without incident.

Painter said the incident occurred at 12:26 a.m. near the intersection of Lenox St. and Cleveland Avenue.
