Uniontown police investigate after drugs found in condemned home

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

Uniontown police said they are investigating after they discovered illegal drugs and several people inside a condemned home in Uniontown Monday. Officer Matthew Painter said the incident occurred at 12:36 a.m. when police were summoned to 24 Searight Ave. for a suspicious person complaint.

Painter said when he arrived at the home, he could hear people inside the residence talking, despite a large yellow sign on the front door warning people to stay out of the dangerous home and also detailing the legal ramifications of entering the building.

Painter said he found a Uniontown man and two Uniontown women inside the home, as well as a homeless man.
