A Connellsville man who worked as an accountant at a nonprofit foundation in North Versailles is facing a host of charges after he allegedly stole more than $338,000 from the foundation. The Allegheny County district attorney’s office said Michael Scarry, 41, was charged Tuesday with access device fraud, criminal conspiracy to commit fraud, two counts of forgery, theft by deception and theft by unlawful taking.

The charges were filed after investigators learned Scarry allegedly stole more than $338,000 from the Laurel Highlands Foundation over nearly a decade, officials said.
