By Josh Krysak 1 min read

A Uniontown man is behind bars after he allegedly punched his live-in girlfriend in the face during a dispute over drugs Monday night. Uniontown police Officer Jennifer Field said Joseph John Pullem III, 30, of 67 N. Mount Vernon Ave. was charged before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. with assault and related charges following the incident at his apartment.

According to police, officers had been called to the residence throughout the evening Monday for various disturbances involving Pullem.

Field said officers were again called to the home at 11:18 p.m., when they found Lisa Bobrick of Uniontown suffering a facial injury.

Field said Bobrick told police that Pullem knocked her down, kicked her in the ribs and punched her in the face after she told him not to smoke marijuana in their home.

Field noted that Pullem resisted arrest and had to be forcibly taken into custody by multiple police officers.

He was placed in the Fayette County Prison on $7,500 straight cash bond following his arraignment.

A preliminary hearing for Pullem will be held at a later date before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros.
