Joseph Paul Mankovich, Jr.
Joseph Paul Mankovich, Jr., 74, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was born February 23, 1936, in Uniontown, Pa.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph Paul Mankovich, Sr. and Elizabeth Coburn Mankovich.
Joseph attended St. Mary (Nativity) Catholic Church and was a former engineer with the Merchant Marines.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann Shaffer Mankovich; four children: Joseph P. Mankovich, III and his special companion, Susan DiPofi of Uniontown, Lisa Flenniken and husband, William and Deborah (Debbie) Mankovich-Hixen all of Uniontown and Timothy P. Mankovich and wife, Peggy of Murrysville, Pa.; five grandchildren: Stephanie Flenniken, Davey and Daulton Hixon, Dillon Riggar and Charlotte Mankovich; three brothers: John E. Mankovich and wife, Elaine of Garfield Heights, Ohio, William Mankovich and wife, Ruth of Uniontown, Pa., and Patrick A. Mankovich of Lemont Furnace, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Friday until 9:30 a.m., a Mass of Christina Burial will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Mary (Nativity) Catholic Church North Mt. Vernon Ave, Uniontown, Pa., with Father Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Catholic Church cemetery.
