Tony Iacconi Sr.
0005866418-01-1.jpg Tony Iacconi Sr., age 86, of Brownsville, Pennsylvania died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the home of his daughter D e b r a i n Kingwood, West Virginia. He was born October 6, 1923 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, Son of August Iacconi and Anne Bova Iacconi.
Tony was a member of the Frank Ricco Sons of Italy Lodge, the Hiller Fire Hall, BARC, Brownsville Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He coached the Brownsville Eagles Little League Baseball team for over 30 years and the All Star teams and Brownsville Sons of Italy Biddy League Basketball team for 18 years.
Tony retired from the Monongahela Railroad after 50 years of Service.
He was predeceased by his Parents; Wife, Iona Smith Iacconi; Brothers, Joseph Iacconi, Augustine Iacconi, Frank Nuzzo and Johnny Nuzzo; and Sister, Elizabeth Nuzzo Pipik.
He is survived by three Children: Tony Iacconi Jr. and wife Jackie, Brownsville, Debra Zigray and husband Jeffrey, Kingwood, West Virginia, Dana Iacconi and wife Dee, Jamison, Pennsylvania; six Grandchildren: Toni Marie Davis, Jason Iacconi, Ethan Zigray, Savannah Iacconi, Daniel Mistry, Aaron Mistry; four Great Grandchildren: Justin Grace, Christopher Grace, Hunter Davis, Baileigh Iacconi; one Brother, Pompeo (Paul) Iacconi of Brownsville;
Brother-in-law, Homer Smith and wife Adrienne; numerous Nieces and Nephews; and Special Neighbor Friend, Thelma Dickinson.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pennsylvania today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti officiating.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania.
Frank Ricco Sons of Italy Lodge will meet in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
