Fred G. Daniels, Jr.
Fred G. Daniels, Jr., 86, of Masontown, Pa., passed away on May 15, 2010 at King’s Personal Care Home, Uniontown. He was born in Masontown, Pa., on June 11, 1923, the son of the late Fred G. Daniels, Sr. and Maude Sterling Daniels.
A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, Edward was a member of VFW Post 4584, Masontown, Pa. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Masontown, Pa. where he was employed for many years and prior to retirement was the Assistant Postmaster.
He was a life member of the First Presbyterian Church, Masontown, Pa.
Fred was a 32nd Degree Mason of Valley Lodge 459 F&AM of Masontown, Pa.
Fred was a very loving son and brother, who took exceptional care of his father and mother for years. He was very close to his sister, Dolores and they enjoyed spending time together, especially traveling. He also loved music.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Dolores Daniels Wroble.
Left to cherish his memory are his niece, Joy Benco, who was his care giver and her husband, Ronald; nephews: Perry Wroble and wife, Geraldine, Jay Worble and his wife, Annette all of Masontown, Pa; grand-nieces: Robin, Ashely and Jayelynn; grand-nephews: Jeremy and Robert and brother-in-law, Paul Wroble.
Family and friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH, JR., FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Ave., Masontown, Pa. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 2 until 4 p.m. the hour of the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen S. Cole officiating.
Masontown Valley Lodge 459 Services on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
Military Rites will be accorded by Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW Post 4584 and American Legion Post 423 at 4:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
Private interment will be held in Masontown Cemetery.
