Dawson mayor to face charges following fight

DAWSON – The Mayor of Dawson is facing multiple charges after she got into a physical altercation with a Dawson woman Tuesday night. State police said Carol Capella, 43, of Dawson will be charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after she and Michael Capella, 23, and Amanda Shultz, 27, both of Dawson, got into a fight with Melissa Jones, 36, also of Dawson.

Police said the altercation occurred when Carol Capella, Michael Capella and Shultz went to Jones’s residence shortly before 9 p.m. on Laughlin Street to confront her about her son, who was not identified.
