Clairton woman waives charge for stashing weed in dirty baby diaper

A Clairton woman facing a single charge for possession of marijuana after she allegedly stashed weed inside a dirty baby diaper waived the single count to court today. State police Trooper Stefani A. Plume said India Makeba Banks, 23, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. on possession of a small amount of marijuana following the incident.

Banks waived the charge to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing before George this morning.

Plume said the incident occurred at 9 a.m. Oct. 25 when she stopped a car on Route 40 in North Union Township.
