Thelma June Thomas Shultz
0005951900-01-1.jpg Thelma June Thomas Shultz, 72 of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in Uniontown Hospital surrounded by her loving Family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 4, 1938 in Friendsville, Maryland she was the beloved daughter of Theodore Jackson Thomas and Grace Virginia (Teets) Thomas.
She spent over 50 years caring for others. She had been employed for over 30 years at Laurel Health Care and most recently worked for Comfort Keepers.
She attended Bethel Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John Lee Shultz; sister, Katie Thomas.
Surviving are her daughter, Jonica Leigh Yauger and her husband Shawn of Uniontown; her four grandchildren whom her world revolved around: Starr Leigh Yauger, Alivia Reign Yauger, Monique Jolie Yauger, Jett Michael Yauger; three sisters and one brother: Shirley Sylvester, Hagerstown, Maryland, James Thomas and his wife Debbie of Kingwood, West Virginia, Bonnie Sines of Friendsville, Maryland, Deborah Punday and husband James, Clarksburg, Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews; her grand puppy, “Daphne”. June is also survived by a very special friend, Ed Budner; and by her best friend, Mickie Yauger.
Friends were received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, PA 15445 (724.437.1115) on Friday, October 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 2, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where visitation will continue today (Sunday, October 3, 2010) until 1 p.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor Bryan Kelley officiating.
Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery.
