Drugs and cash seized during police operation in Greene and Fayette

Greene and Fayette county officials said they seized cash and drugs and made multiple felony arrests following a joint operation Thursday. A group of law enforcement officers from Greene and Fayette counties joined forces to conduct Operation Safe Streets in an effort to crack down on traffic offenses.

Police said that during the four-hour enforcement, officers conducted 24 traffic stops resulting in the service of three felony warrants, one traffic citation and two drug arrests.

Police said that they conducted 10 searches of stopped vehicles and motorists and recovered cash and drugs.
