California to enforce parking restrictions during homecoming parade Saturday

California police announced parking restrictions in the borough during California University’s homecoming parade Saturday. Police said that the parade begins at noon at the university on Third Street and then moves west to Union Street. Once on Union Street, police said the parade will travel north to Second Street and then proceed east on Second Street until returning to the campus.

Beginning at 9 a.m., no vehicles will be allowed to park along the parade route, police said.

Police will begin ticketing cars parked on the designated parade route at that time and then will begin towing the cars at 9:30 a.m.

Residents are asked to pleased move their vehicles prior to 9 a.m. to avoid police action.
