Most people don’t feel safer despite the state police reporting the number of crimes dropped 5.4 percent statewide last year, according to a majority of those responding to a poll question on heraldstandard.com last week. According to poll results, 405 people said they don’t feel safer. Another 52 said they feel safer and 31 said they were unsure.

The question this week is: Do you plan to vote in the upcoming Nov 2. primary?

Website viewers will have until noon on Friday to take part in the poll. The results will be printed in this column next Monday.
