Uniontown woman charged after threatening witness

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

The girlfriend of a Uniontown man accused of conspiring to rape a 13-year-old girl is now facing charges of her own after she allegedly attempted to intimidate a witness in her boyfriend’s case, police said. Less than one week after Shana K. Brown pleaded guilty to conspiring to rape a 13-year-old girl in an attempt to impregnate her and agreed to testify against her alleged co-conspirator, Dwayne Calloway, Calloway’s girlfriend was arrested by police.

Uniontown police Detective Donald M. Gmitter said Ashleigh Elizabeth Lee, 24, of 194 S. Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, was charged with intimidation of a witness, terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Gmitter said the charges were filed after Lee confronted Brown at the Fayette County Courthouse after Brown entered her guilty plea Oct. 4.
