The Herald-Standard is inviting local residents to participate in its annual “Why I’m Thankful” feature. Readers are invited to write letters saying why they’re thankful. The letters will be published in the paper’s Thanksgiving edition. Letters can be sent to the Herald-Standard, 8-18 Church St., Uniontown, Pa., 15401, faxed to 724-439-7559 or e-mailed to hsletters@heraldstandard.com

Photos can be submitted with the letters. The people in the photos must be identified, and the photos won’t be returned unless a specific request is made.

The letters must be less than 300 words and must be submitted by Friday, Nov. 5. Letters will be reviewed by a panel at the Herald-Standard, and the top three winners will receive a free turkey for Thanksgiving.
