Norman D. Ross “Red”
Norman D. “Red” Ross, 82, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 28, 2010. He was born October 6, 1928 in High House, Fayette County, Pennsylvania son of Jones Ross and Alice Coffman Ross.
Norman graduated from the now former German Township High School, Class of 1946.
Norman was a member of Grace Chapel at High House, 32nd Degree Mason with membership at Laurel Lodge 651, and a Teamster at Local 491 in Uniontown.
He was employed for over 45 years with the Hagan Milk Company, Country Belle Dairy and the Fike’s Dairy until his retirement.
Norman was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and also NASCAR fan and loved racing cars himself.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step mother, Nora Grove Ross; infant sister, Beatrice; son, Terry Ross; and brother, Orval Ross.
Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Sandra S. Spiker Ross; his children: Dana Ross of Hopwood, Pennsylvania, Bruce Ross and wife Linda, Nemacolin, Pennsylvania and Jennie Sue Ross, Uniontown; very close grandson, Michael P. Lawrence Jr. who resided in Norman and Sandy’s home; nine grandchildren: Christina Ross, Cassandra Ross, Shad Fitzherbert, A l e x i s Fitzherbert, Deanna Caudill, Jason Ross, Jennifer Hebbert, Jean Preston and Kelly Price; nineteen great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Ross Jenkins and husband Melvin; a sister-in-law, Jane Diamond Ross; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. today (Sunday, October 31) from 3 to 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Harold O. Kelley officiating.
