Thomas A. Beal
Thomas A. Beal, 88, of Republic, Pennsylvania passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the home of his daughter, Sally Fajger, in Merrittstown, Pennsylvania. He was born October 5, 1921 in Republic, Pennsylvania son of Glenn J. Beal and Elta Lea Greenwood Beal.
Thomas was a member of the First Christian Church, Republic, where he served as Deacon Emeritus.
He retired from National Mine Corporation’s Isabella Mine was a veteran of United States Army who served in World War II, and a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 6295 and the American Legion Post 0295 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and four brothers, William Beal, Robert Beal, Charles Beal and Gene Beal.
Surviving are his wife with whom he celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 29, Mary Jane (McClain) Beal; Children: John D. Robins and wife Mary Jane, Weaverville, North Carolina, Sally Ann Fajger and husband Edward of Merrittstown and Carol L. Mays and husband Donald of Greensboro, Pennsylvania; Grandchildren: Shawn Robins and wife Amy of Weaverville, North Carolina, Mandi Corbett and her fiance Robert Bray of Brigantine, New Jersey, Matthew Marsiglia of Hiller, Pa., Andria Fike and husband Joseph of Merrittstown, Dawn Lint and husband Charles of Greensboro, Jeffrey Mays and wife Joai of Duncannon, Pennsylvania; Great Grandchildren Harper Robbins, Claire, Elle and Jack Corbett, Haylea and Timothy Lint and Anthony Marsiglia; and sister, Dolores E. DeSalvo of Hudson, Florida.

Friends will be received in ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, 19 Legion Street, Republic, Pennsylvania today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Saturday, September 4, 2010 until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Rufus Peer, Minister, officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania where Military Services will be accorded by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
