CEO Conversations at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will open is fall series at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 29 with guest speaker Scott O’Hara, president and CEO of Heinz North America. CEO Conversations is designed to give students the opportunity to hear from and talk with key individuals in the local, regional and national business communities about business, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Curtis Aiken, president, CEO and founder of ProTech Compliance, will speak at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and Kim Tillotson Fleming, CFA, president of Hefren-Tillotson Inc., will speak at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 17.

All programs are held in the Maggie Hardy Magerko Auditorium at Penn State Fayette.

O’Hara joined Heinz in early 2006 as the executive vice president, Asia-Pacific, Rest of the World and Canada. In May of the same year, he was appointed executive vice president and CEO of Heinz Europe. In January 2007, he was given the position of leader of the Heinz Global Supply Chain Task Force and, as of July 2009, he became the executive vice president, president and CEO of Heinz North America.

Before working for Heinz, O’Hara spent 15 years at Gillette Group International. He held numerous positions, including senior vice president, Europe; general manager for Gillette in the United Kingdom and for the Benelux countries of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg; and vice president of sales.

O’Hara led the functional excellence initiatives for Gillette in the United Kingdom, and was appointed to lead the integration of the Gillette business into Proctor & Gamble for Europe.

O’Hara is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where he received a bachelor of science degree in business administration.

Aiken has an in-depth knowledge of managerial, entrepreneurial and community development, which formed the foundation for the business vision and executive leader-ship of ProTech Compliance.

Formerly a CEO for eSGS, he was aware of inefficiencies in the manual process of identifying, qualifying, bidding, reporting and tracking supplier diversity activity for major supply management projects. Aiken drew a great deal of experience from observing potential improvement opportunities within the company and eSGS was able to utilize technology solutions to optimize processes for their manual processes.

Aiken also has served as the director of marketing for Cameron Coca-Cola Co., where he encompassed skills in management, sales operations, promotions marketing and advertising (print, radio and television).

Aiken is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of arts degree in communications and a minor in business.

Tillotson Fleming is the president of Hefren-Tillotson, a privately held Pittsburgh-based firm offering comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services for individuals, foundations, trusts and qualified retirement plans.

Tillotson Fleming holds several professional designations, including chartered financial analyst charterholder; is a graduate and board member of the Securities Industry Institute at the University of Pennsylvania; and has completed the Center for Fiduciary Studies Certification program at the University of Pittsburgh.

There are other associations and organizations in which Tillotson Fleming has an active role, including treasurer of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, finance chair for the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and serving on the capital campaign committees for the Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute and Children’s Hospital.

Tillotson Fleming is a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in economics. In 2005, she received the YWCA “A Tribute to Women Leadership” award for business.

CEO Conversations is an initiative of the late Penn State Fayette Chancellor Dr. Emmanuel Osagie. It debuted in fall 2007 with local businessman, philanthropist and former Fayette County Commissioner Joseph A. Hardy III as the first guest speaker.

It has been broken into a fall and spring series.
