CONNELLSVILLE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, in the faculty dining room at Connellsville Senior High School. Plans will be made to participate in the Fall Mum Festival in Connellsville Oct. 2. The program will highlight “The Road of Necessity,” a DVD produced by the National Park Service. Light refreshments will be served. The public is invited. New members are welcome. COLONEL ANDREW LYNN CHAPTER, DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Uniontown Public Library. There will be a brunch, and members are asked to bring a covered dish. Frank Kurtik, guest speaker, will talk on “Prospectives on the Constitution: From A Confederation to the United States.”

SOUTHMORELAND MARCHING BAND will hold its first classic car show and spaghetti dinner Sunday at the Southmoreland Elementary School, 200 Scottie Way, Scottdale. Entry fee is $5 per car. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon. Show is from noon to 4 p.m. A spaghetti dinner will be held in the school cafeteria. Refreshments, Chinese auction, door prizes, 50/50 raffle and a disc jockey will be featured. For more information, call 724-887-0483.

MOUNTAINEER AUDUBON will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Public Safety Building, corner of Spruce and Walnut streets, Morgantown. Program will be The Lessons of Dunkard Creek.
